Q-EPIC Overview
We are currently forming a committee to serve the following mission statement: To improve the quality of life for members of the LGBTIQ+ Community by promoting visibility and awareness. The group will function similarly to the current MICE Committee (Mount Isa Community Ensembles).
Opportunity
Queer events held throughout 2024 (including Drag Queen Bingo in collaboration with The Buffs Club) were highly attended and generated revenue. Rural communities such as Broken Hill have been seeing increasing visitor numbers through their queer festivals and events. This is an opportunity to showcase the friendly and diverse community we live making Mount Isa more attractive as a place to live, work and visit.
Events & More
Social Events
Regular opportunities to connect with others and showcase queer talent.
Representation & Support
Forums, grants, guest speakers and opportunities to represent queer community perspectives.
Pride Festival
The ultimate Q-EPIC event, our yearly Isa Pride Festival. Isa PrideFest for short!
